I got a new connection about a month ago. It worked fine for 2 days and then the problems started. Sometimes during the day a lot of web sites and services become unreachable , I am able to see some content but not all. This is definetely not on my end since I tried more than one device and in can’t be my connection since then it will block all content. If I use another provider or even a vpn I can overcome this issue. I doubt this is a black list problem as one of the web site I can’t open is upc.ch … feel free to laugh.
Probably these problems have to do with the fact that UPC generated two connections with two account numbers for me, so maybe they messed up the end configuration. I have notified them of their mistake and just didn’t pick up the second modem from the post. I am still waiting for them to call back and resolve this, if they send me a bill for two connection I will probably report them to proper authorities.
The worst part about them is their service, i have opened 4 tickets over their web site for these problems so far and I haven’t received a reply to any of them, when I call them, I end up talking to some first level technician with no specific knowledge, that can only restart my modem or change the wifi channel I use (although I have a wired desktop), sometimes they might say they will escalate this issue and will get back to me. Since this started from day 3 I asked if there was a grace period and I could terminate this pure excuse of a service within the first week or two , I am still waiting for a reply on that end also.
I don’t know if anyone from UPC will read this and if will bother replying but if you are a potencial customer I urge you to reconsider.
