I’m a new customer to UPC and since the beginning the connection is unstable. Randomly the modem seems to lost the line and need to resync with the line. I got a lot of this log on the “Network log”
of the Connect Box.
I call several time the support where we did the basic troubleshooting with shutdown the modem, and reset the modem without success.
Then a technician came to check the wall socket and it seems that the signal was a bit weak and he change the socket and control the installation on the building where I live.
I still had the same symptoms with random connection lost.
I call again and the technician comeback but the signal was good enough so he called the 2nd line support. the technician advise to move to IPv4 instead of IPv6. I accepted event if I don’t think it will help.
Somehow the line looks a bit more stable but I still have random connection lost.
Is this a know issue, is there a way to fix it ?
Since I’m a new customer, I have spend enough time to try to make it work. If for some reason my old building or any issue on the infrastructure make this happens and can’t be resolve, it’s okay I will move back to my previous ISP.
