From 5 June, UPC customers will no longer need to go to the post office. They can simply place their defective or old TV box or modem in their letterbox and the post office will pick it up. Especially in the current health crisis this gives customers the opportunity to stay at home.
When UPC customers order a new TV box or modem, they usually reach their customers within a short time. Until now, however, customers have had to take the old or defective box to the post office or order the postal pick-up service. Now he gets everything he needs to return the old box in the package with the new device. All he has to do is stick a return label on the parcel and place it in the milk compartment or next to the letterbox. A protruding flap signals to the postman or postwoman that a parcel is ready for collection. Customers do not have to announce this anywhere, but can simply place the parcel in the letterbox. The service is free of charge for customers.

With the new ‘Home Drop’ service, our customers can have their modem or TV box sent to their home and no one has to leave the house to return their old equipment. No matter if he or she is sick, belongs to a risk group or just wants to stay at home”.
The new ‘Home Drop’ service is available in most of UPC’s distribution areas. Swiss Post is acting as the logistics partner.
