How to improve Internet stability?

I am experiencing very unstable Internet connection lately. I usually do not use Internet a lot at home, but time to time I watch youtube or IPTV on a TV. So when I watch TV, it is constantly 'buffering'.

Is there any way to improve my Internet stability? Why is this happening? Is it the TV that do not have capacity? (although I bought the TV recently, so it is new and it should have good technical characterists). Or maybe it is the Connection Box have some issues? Or the line? How do I check, troubleshoot and fix it?

Also, I am thinking to switch to the 1 Gig Intetner, but then I guess my contract will be renewed, and I will not be able to cancel it for another year if needed?

Sorry, a lot of questions here. All I want is to have reliable connection to watch youtube, netflix or IPTV uninterraptedly. Thanks a lot!

Re: How to improve Internet stability?

@upcusernumberon , How is your Samsung TV connected? Via WIFI?

If so, I recommend the following:
- Log on to the admin console of your modem
- Change the WIFI name of the 5GHz WIFI (for example at the end _5GHz)
- Then connect your TV to the 5GHz WIFI

If this does not improve the situation, connect your TV via LAN cable.

Re: How to improve Internet stability?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I will try this and will leave a feedback here.

Just for information, yesterday I was watching youtube, and I turned on 'Stats for nerds' feature on YouTube app. It shows that I have 5 to 15 mbps of Internet speed and it is jumping dramatically. Anyway, hope using 5Gh Wi-Fi will solve the issue.
