unstable and unreliable connection

Hello,

 

I am having long-lasting connection problems with my Connect Box. Even at times that there is one single user connected to the device, the connection drops out and comes back many times during the day. It is incredibly annoying when it happens during an operation that needs to be completed in a single shot (this problem had cost me more than 200 CHF during a plane ticket purchase couple of months ago). The situation simply got worse when we are 2 working at home and the worst happens when connected via VPN - it simply gets crazy with frequent drop-outs.

Everytime someone from UPC calls me, they offer to increase my speed, but what I am really interested in is having a solid, reliable connection. 

 

Could you provide me a proper solution, please? Till now, simply due to the ease of keeping status quo, I haven't bothered changing the service provider. Now it is time that you give me a solid reason to keep it.
