Lately, here in Villars-sur-glane - CH-1752 -, the connection has been very poor to say the least. Drop outs and performance has been up and down and not anything close to the 500Mb/s I'm subscribing to (yes, I'm on wifi directly from the UPC modem so not expecting full 500Mb/s but usually it's around 350Mb/s)
I'm very dependent on a stable connection as I work a lot from home and especially in the evenings as I need to have online meetings etc with my company's HQ in the US.
So, more or less, every evening around 18:00 I'm kicked out from our VPN as there is no connection. The modem is showing three symbols and I need to reset it every single time...
The VPN log shows: "Reconnecting, waiting for network connectivity", multiple times a day (lastly today at 16:10:16).
Other handheld devices suffers the same (not on VPN but directlx connected to the UPC Modem).
So, is it just my modem there may be something wrong with or is it a known issue network-wise?
So, it's been a while now and the WiFi from the connect box has been pretty stable up until now lately.
So, now the WiFi loses connection to all my devices on and off (2 iMacs - one on VPN, one MacBook Air, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones) and it takes forever to re-connect. I have restarted the Cable Box a good few times when this happens and it seems to help there and then but then returns after a while. I have noticed it's specially in the mornings when I logon...
I have another router connected through Wire from the connect box, and there are never any issues with the wifi.
The issue is 100% with the wifi connect box for sure.
Any ideas or do someone else face the same problem? The speed has become super good though. I guess you cannot get it all at the same time :-)
